New Highway 54 interchange map guides the way

The Highway 54 interchange opened Wednesday, April 21, but any time there is change there is a little confusion – especially for motorists wanting to go to Osage National.

The four-way signaled intersection no longer exists. Now, there are exit ramps for both eastbound and westbound traffic wanting to go to Osage National.

Please refer to the map for clarification. For reference, Eldon is toward the left and Osage Beach is to the right. Osage National is out of sight in the upper righthand corner of the map.

Westbound motorists will exit on the appropriate ramp, then follow the arrows and signage through two roundabouts. Follow the arrows around newly constructed roundabouts to Osage Hills Road.

Eastbound motorists will take the exit ramp, go through one roundabout and then onto Osage Hills Road.

Motorists wanting to access Bagnell Dam and Lake Ozark can take the appropriate exit ramps, follow arrows and signage through the roundabout.

Again, please refer to the map.

Just remember: Don’t anticipate turning where the traffic signals were located. They are gone.
