Police Week in Lake Ozark: On May 12, Mayor David Ridgely officially proclaimed this week as Police Week in the City of Lake Ozark. The proclamation was presented to the Lake Ozark Police Department in honor of the men and women of law enforcement who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, while also recognizing the dedication and service of officers who continue to protect and serve our community each day. Shootout Street Party

Today is the day! The Shootout on the Strip Street Party begins tonight at 5:00 P.M. on the Bagnell Dam Strip. The roadway is closed from School Road to Bagnell Dam until 11:00 P.M. this evening, but a detour route is available for those hoping to pass through the event.

Due to the extreme heat we are experiencing this week, event organizers have stressed that the street party runs from 5:00-10:00 P.M. Participants are encouraged to visit the Ameren lot by crossing the dam and taking Valley Road to the lot for $10 parking and shuttle service.

Attendees will be able to see race teams and power boats participating in this weekend’s boat race while enjoying an open container event. Volunteers with the event will be provide wristbands to those wishing to enjoy the open container portion of the event.
