City and LOPD Named Non-Profit of the Year: Last month, the City of Lake Ozark and Lake Ozark Police Department were honored to be named the 2025 Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit of the Year.Over 200 lake area business owners and community members were present to vote on this award and others, and we are grateful for the recognition given by the community we serve. Of this award, City Administrator Harrison Fry stated, "This is the result of years' worth of intentional effort to continue finding ways to better serve our community and the folks who come visit every year. Through the summer, the men and women of LOPD have a tough task in front of them but they are supported every step of the way by our mayor and aldermen, and the members of this community we call home."

Citizen Involvement Needed

Lake Ozark Citizens interested in serving on the city’s Special Events Review Committee should complete the form available at this link.

The Special Events Committee is made up of two citizens, two business owners, and representatives from local business organizations who have experience in organizing community events.  This committee is scheduled to meet on the fourth Monday of every month at 1:00 P.M. in Lake Ozark City Hall at 3162 Bagnell Dam Boulevard.  At the monthly meetings, the committee typically reviews applications for special events in Lake Ozark and meets with the event organizer to discuss the event at hand.  This group then provides a recommendation to the Board of Aldermen regarding how to proceed with the application, and identifies anything the organizer may need to improve upon prior to the event date.
